AI In Our Lives Whether You Like It Or Not
Each time I read my newsfeed, my inbox newsletters, LinkedIn, or wherever I feel like I end up all over the place with my stance on AI. This is will share some things I came across that I found cool.
Hey Chaos Navigators!
Grab a cup of coffee. I am drinking some BulletProof coffee this morning. I need it after another day of ice and Mabel and I falling pretty hard on our walk in the dark morning. I hope these ideas don’t hurt your brain how my hip, wrist, and knee feels!
Microsoft's Reading Coach: A Game-Changer in Learning
So, here's the scoop: While we're all cozied up with Google in our schools here in Iowa, Microsoft has been making some serious moves in the education tech scene for quite some time but even more so with Co-Pilot and Bing. They've just rolled out their AI-powered Reading Coach – for free, no less – to anyone with a Microsoft account. It's like they're handing out keys to a treasure trove of learning tools!
Check out what TechCrunch has to say about it
And Microsoft's not just playing around here. They're talking about personalizing learning in ways that could really shake things up. Imagine a classroom where every kid gets the tailored help they need. Mind-blowing, right? Time will tell with all of this, but I really like the approach they have been tackling AI lately even though most of us talk ChatGPT and Google.

Alexa’s Getting Smarter: AI Upgrades at Home
Remember when talking to a device in your home was weird? Yeah, me neither. We’ve gotten so used to barking orders at Alexa and Siri(set a timer, what time is it, how do I….), they’re practically family. But guess what? Amazon just upped the ante at the Consumer Electronics Show, showcasing some seriously cool updates to Alexa, thanks to partnerships with AI companies like Character.AI, Splash, and Volley.
We’re talking next-level AI integration – making our chats with Alexa more nuanced and, dare I say, more human? Whether we like it or not it is coming. Check out the news ICYMI.

DIY AI Videos: Pika & VideoGPT by VEED
Now, for the creatives in the room, here is something I have been exploring: Making AI-generated videos. While not perfect yet, it is now as easy as typing out a prompt. I tried two platforms - Pika and VideoGPT by VEED - and, folks, it’s a blast.
With Pika, I went with a standard prompt(for me) like "anime robot reaching for a coffee floating in orbit of chaos." Seconds later, bam – video ready.
But wait, there's more. VideoGPT by VEED is another gem. It's a GPT in ChatGPT 4, and it's a pretty incredible. I created a video there too, no edits with this example, just raw AI creativity.

Your turn! Make something cool and share it. Let’s see what chaos we can create together!
Person to Follow: Heather Cooper of Visually AI
Before I bring this newsletter to a close I want to start a new section where share people I am learning from. I've got to give a shoutout to someone who's been absolutely blowing my mind lately – Heather Cooper from Visually AI. If you're even remotely interested in AI and content creation, especially in the arts, you need to check out her work.
Heather's YouTube Channel is like a treasure trove of insights and explorations into the world of AI in the arts. She’s not just using AI; she's pushing its boundaries, experimenting in ways that are both fascinating and inspiring.
Every time I dive into her videos, I come out with my mind expanded about what’s possible with AI in content creation. It's one thing to read about AI advancements, but it's a whole different experience to see them in action, transforming the creative process.
So, give Heather a follow, and I am excited to announce she has agreed to join me on my podcast in a few weeks! Who knows, you might find yourself inspired to start your own AI-powered artistic journey!
